About
Experience & Creativity
I have been turning wood for over twenty years as a hobby. I instantly fell in love. I'm fascinated by using only my hands and tools to create one-of-a-kind pieces of art to become a part of your home. It is my woodchip therapy.
My Story
I have recently retired from the Sheriff's Office here in Manatee County after 21 years in the IT section and needed something to do with my time.
My wife has Multiple Sclerosis for more than 25 years and is in a wheelchair full time. I am her husband, best friend, caregiver, and part-time nurse. Thus the name Caregiver Woodturning.
Club Associations
In 2022 I will be on the Board of the local Sarasota Woodturners association. https://www.sarasotawoodturners.org/
I will be managing the Technology Committee. We currently have hybrid in-person and Zoom demonstration meetings once or twice a month. We also have one "Professional" turner give a Zoom demonstration once a month.
